Beijing (PingWest) — NetEase Youdao, an online education subsidiary of China’s major internet technology company NetEase, has merged two principal education services, “NetEase Cloud Classroom” and “China University MOOC,” under its brand.
It will cover NetEase's education business, with a key focus on K12 training. The company is also expecting to release two children's programming education services, named “Little Turing” and “Carta Programming.”
The aim of the merger is in part to put the company’s main emphasis on education in 2019, according to CEO Ding Lei in NetEase’s Forth Quarterly 2018 Financial Results.
