SHENZHEN(PingWest) — Ren Zhengfei, Huawei's CEO told Canadian CTV news in a rare two-hour interview in Shenzhen, that his daughter, Meng Wanzhou wanted to resign as the deputy chairwoman and find another job before she was arrested. 

"She was not happy working here but after being arrested, this matter improved our relationship and now she understands how difficult life can be." Ren said.

Meng is currently still under house arrest in Vancouver as her case makes its way through the courts system.
