Hong Kong Stock Exchange Announces the Form of International Advisory Council

Hong Kong Stock Exchange announced today to form an international advisory council. Members include Mr. Ou Zhihua, former CEO of HSBC, Ms. Mary Schapiro former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Mr.Joseph Tsai, executive vice president of Alibaba group, reports Reuters today.

Shi Meilun, president of HKSE said every member is expert in financial market issues, political and economic issues and can give you insights of a variety of industries. They can offer valuable advice on HKSE’s strategic decisions to its board of directors, helping HKSE become a leading stock exchange firm across Asia and even the world.

The consulting committee will have at least two meeting per year to help HKSE better understand the development of major financial institutions in the world, the change of geopolitics, the progress of technology.

The chairman of the committee will be the president of HKSE. Members are permitted for a three-year term.
