Short video app Douyin(China's TikTok) received a lot of feedback, saying that new users cannot login with WeChat accounts. 

Douyin confirmed on its WeChat official account that, after urgent investigation, it has no technical problem. In addition, Douyin said it has not been informed by WeChat of login problem, so it is not clear if this problem is due to WeChat login services or other human factors so far.

When the problem occurred, Douyin actively reached out with WeChat. An employee of WeChat open platform said he does not work in public relation department, so he does not know the reason.

Douyin, in the last section of article published on its WeChat official account, suggests users to use mobile number or other third-platform accounts to login, in case they cannot record short videos, give a "like" and make comments.
