TikTok Music, the music streaming service from TikTok, is expanding to Australia, Mexico, and Singapore. The closed beta test began on Wednesday, and participants will receive a three-month free trial.

The expansion follows its debut in Indonesia and Brazil earlier this month.

A subscription to TikTok Music costs AUD11.99 ($8.18 USD) per month in Australia, MXN$115 ($6.87 USD) in Mexico, and S$9.90 ($7.47 USD) in Singapore. There are also discounted subscriptions for university students and family plans for up to six accounts.

TikTok Music can be synced with a TikTok account to listen, share, and download tracks discovered on the standard platform. The service also includes features such as lyrics, collaborative playlists, and the ability to search for songs by their lyrics.

According to DataReportal, Indonesia and Brazil are TikTok’s second-and third-largest markets, behind only the US, with 113 million and 84.1 million active TikTok users aged 18 years and above, respectively. Meanwhile, Mexico is TikTok’s fourth-largest market with 62.4 million TikTok users.

TikTok, the short video platform owned by ByteDance, is already a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, having driven the success of many hit songs since it launched in 2016.

TikTok is already a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. The platform has driven the success of many hit songs since it launched in 2016, helping users discover new artists and tracks through viral trends.

With its growing user base and deep integration with TikTok, TikTok Music is well-positioned to compete with other music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music.

Last week, TikTok also announced an expanded licensing agreement with Warner Music Group, as it looks to grow its music content library. Parent company ByteDance also recently scrapped the free tier of Resso, another music-streaming service it owns.
