Honor teased a new foldable phone at MWC Shanghai

Chinese major phone maker Honor today announced that it will host a launch event for its next flagship foldable smartphone, HONOR Magic V2 at MWC Shanghai 2023.

During a Tuesday keynote session on MWC Shanghai entitled “What’s Next for Smartphones,” Honor's CEO George Zhao revealed the upcoming Magic V2, the successor of its 2022-launched Magic Vs.

Zhao claimed that Honor Magic V2 “will revolutionize the foldable experience” during the keynote.

Honor is the fourth largest foldable phone vendor in China during January this year, taking 12.8% of the market, an increase of 9.8 precent point yearly, according to Chinese consultancy CINNO Research.

Honor has introduced its foldable phone Magic Vs to global markets earlier this year during MWC Barcelona, marking the firm's first attempt bringing foldable gadgets overseas.
