Alibaba Group has launched what it describe as the firm’s largest ever recruitment programme for new graduate, as Alibaba aims to nurture junior staff to keep up innovation in tech sectors.
The Hangzhou-headquartered e-commerce giant said it is offering 113 different entry-level roles, 45 of which are open to fresh graduates for the first time, according to the job advertisement posting on its official website.
The entry-level positions cover the fields of computer engineering, data science, blockchain and security engineering. The non-technical positions for new graduates include product managers, mapping product designers, visual arts, operations, gaming planners, video editors, client managers, and logistics managers and risk strategists.
Alibaba’s job recruiter is not only hiring fresh graduate for e-commerce business, but also it is looking to fill the vacancy at logistic unit Cainiao Network, Alibaba Health Information Technology and Alibaba Pictures Group, these jobs are mainly based in big cities include Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Wuxi.
As of the end of March, 2021, Alibaba Group has more than 251,462 employee around the world, but it did not reveal the exact number of job positions for new graduate.
Alibaba officially launched the 2022 campus recruitment program on July 19, which is ahead of the usual recruitment seasons for new graduates in autumn.
China’s big tech companies are always competing aggressively for new talent as the country has couples of million university graduate looking for jobs each year.
According to survey conducted by Zhaopin.com, internet, computer software and hardware, finance and consulting service are the most popular industries for fresh graduate to embark on.
