JD.com to Launch Largest Offline Store for Single’s Day Shopping Festival

Beijing (PingWest)- Chinese e-commerce titan JD.com will open its biggest retail store to date on Nov.11, which is China’s annual shopping festival, a move that will challenge offline retailer including Suning and Gome in the world’s largest consumer market.

Located in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing, the store, named “JD E-Space,” will cover an area of 50,000 square meters and be powered by a superfast 5G wireless network. It will sell products from like home appliances and digital accessories from more than 1000 brands, the company said in a statement.
