BEIJING (PingWest) — Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing will bar women to take its carpooling service Hitch after 8 p.m., announced the company on Wednesday, November 6.

Didi trialed a relaunch of Hitch in its app, saying that it will first resume Hitch in seven cities, including Beijing, Shijiazhuang and Harbin.

Didi suspended its Hitch services after two female passengers were murdered by their drivers in May and August 2018.
