Vigo Video to Be Merged Into TikTok

Beijing (PingWest)—According to Chinese tech media the LatePost, Vigo Video, the live-streaming app released by TikTok's parent company BytedDance, will be merged into TikTok in the near future. Currently, Alex Zhu, co-founder of Music.ly is responsible for TikTok, meanwhile, the company's Snapchat-style app Duoshan will be under his control.

Vigo Video was launched in 2017, and in the same year, TikTok was rolled out in India.

Bytedance bought Musical.ly for up to $1 billion in 2017.
