BEIJING (PingWest) - Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi rolled out a new feature which allows Japanese and Australian Didi drivers to accept rides by giving voice command, instead of tap on their phone screens with hands.

Bu Zheng, Vice President and head of the International Business Technology of Didi announced the new feature as part of its market strategy on Wednesday, July 10 at the Rise Conference in Hong Kong.

The new feature decreases driver’s risks of causing a crash when using a phone while driving. Meanwhile, the water test overseas also provides valuable experience to domestic Chinese market.
