According to Jiemian, Xiaozhu said in an interview on Jan 31 that its facial recognition check-in services have now been rolled out in over 40 cities in China, with Hangzhou serving as a model site.

Facial recognition is intended to simplify the check-in procedure and save time at the front desk in verifying the identities of tenants. It's also hoped that it may improve safety.
