BEIJING (PingWest) – Didi launched its Didi bikes around Zhongguancun Software Parking (dubbed China’s Silicon Valley) in Beijing to replace bluegogo bikes, which are owned by Didi since the acquisition in January 2018, according to 36Kr.
Additionally, the charging standard will remain the same.
Roughly 3,000 Didi bikes will be deployed and 10,000 bluegogo bikes will be recycled.
This also marks the first time Didi bike entered into China’s market.
Didi announced on this move that the replacement is mainly because bluegogo bikes are close to their end of life cycles, and to provide better bike-riding experience to users.
