Beijing (PingWest)- Chinese tech giant Tencent has just acquired a 10% stake in Perwyn, the private equity business and investor which holds a 17.38% stake in Team Sonic Racing studio Sumo Digital.
After selling its shares to Tencent, Perwyn’s interest in the company will be reduced to 17.38%.
Founded in Sheffield in 2003, Sumo Digital has worked on a variety of games across mobile, console and PC.
Game titles developed by Sumo Digital include Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom, Snake Pass.
