Beijing (PingWest) — Bytedance, China's internet giant behind several leading apps including TikTok and Toutiao, has launched a new social media app named 'Feiliao' (or Flipchat in English). It features instant messaging and interest groups, and considers to be a challenger of Wechat, which currently dominates the Chinese social media.
Feiliao “is an open social product,” said ByteDance, “We hope Feiliao will connect people of the same interests, making people’s life more diverse and interesting.”
